Essential tools for your sales and marketing

I have asked each of the Fit Biz Builders to give their top 3 tools that they think every health and fitness professional needs to make their business run smoothly and efficiently, their marketing to be slick and effective and their sales to be big and bountiful.

Each of us use these tools in our own business. If you have any suggestions or questions just post a comment.

So here they are…

Yvette Nevrkla – The UK’s leading Fitness Business Coach suggests you need:

1. Elance – a handy website for finding helpful professionals to do some of the work you don’t want to do or don’t know how to do. So you can spend more time working on your business not in it.

2. Instant Teleseminar – for delivering teleseminars and webinars to add value to your clients and to broaden the scope of your message

3. Camtasia studio – for creating training videos and content to build expertise and increase your value perception

Lucy Johnson – The industry’s premier fitness marketer states you need:

1. Aweber – An email software program where you put all your contacts in so you can keep in contact with them regularly and effectively

2. A branded ezine template – to send your newsletters to all your contacts and keep at the forefront of peoples mind ready for when they want to buy

3. A Virtual Terminal (retailmerchantservices.co.uk for example) to take payments and orders easily and effectively.

Steve Jack – The international sales and communication coach says you need:

1. A Natures Sunshine webshop – to provide your clients with the right nutrition to fast track them to their success

2. Mail Chimp – a simple email software which does the same as Aweber but is free for the first 2000 contacts

3. MyVideo Talk suite – a great marketing tool to develop engaging content in different mediums to increase sales from the comfort of your home.

Jackie Diss – The fitness branding and product specialist sings you need:

1. A Flip cam – a great little HD camera ideal to capture great video content to develop compelling information products and exercise guides

2. A Youtube account – 64% of people use youtube as a fitness resource. If you arent using a Flip and getting your message out on YouTube you are missing a trick

3. Audacity – To create great audio products which can be delivered with your ebooks and guides to increase the value of your own products and services

And I (Scott Hodson) – Award winning internet entrepreneur demands you need:

1. A Google Account – I am in love with Google because through having a Google account I can organise my business with Goggle Docs (free), I can organise my time with Google Calendar (free) and if you use your Google Account in the right way it can supper charge your websites visibility….for free

2. A Blog – Blogging and video blogging (vblogs) are an essential tool for any modern service based business. It allows you to communicate with your tribe on an regular basis and done in the right way can turbo charge your web traffic.

3. A PayPal – PayPal is a fit pros best friend. Most people in our industry hate asking for money and even sometimes give sessions for cheap or free just because they cant ask for the money. With PayPal you don’t have to worry anymore you just direct people to your site and get them to pay online. People trust it and it provides a very hand way to pay…which in turn increases sales.
